Now I’m Cancer-Free!

My good news today is pretty big: my melanoma did not spread to my lymph nodes, so I’m all clear! It’s great to have the positivity I’ve been feeling about this affirmed with solid news. Now I’ve just got a week with my new, subtle bandaging:

Actually, my roommate and I have decided I should just make it a fashion statement. I already had woman tell me it looked “chic.” Yeah, I think that’s how I’d describe it too. Must be the little bow on top. I even already saw someone sporting the look on TV tonight:

I guess I should mention that she was a psychic in LA. I’ve already got a turban-style hat and some hoop earrings… is this becoming a thing for me? Whatevs. This bandage headband is going to take New York by storm.

Really though, everyone has been so kind. Thank you so much.

Today was bittersweet because though this news was good, my family lost my Great-Uncle Tony to lymphoma. He was  such a wonderful, inspirational person and so many will miss him. ♥

  3. Hi! I just got reading through a few of your posts and I had a quick question about your blog. I am involved in the cancer community and was hoping you could email me back when you get the chance. Thanks! – emilywalsh688(at)gmail.com.
